BIO

Born and raised in a San Francisco Victorian,
by two odd but loving Midwestern parents,
Xanthe grew up drawing, spacing out, and generally missing everything non-visual. Her penchant for smelly markers led her to illustration and painting and eventually advertising. After finishing her undergrad degree in art history at Brown and a year "abroad" at RISD, she decided to return to her hometown and spend some time with the wonderful folks at Pixar. Many friends and two movies later, she returned to school to study illustration at Art Center College of Design in Pasadena.

She started out as an illustration major and moved into advertising. While in school, she worked on campaigns for Twister, Powerade, H&R Block, Haribo Gummi Bears and Tab. She graduated wtih distinction in 2003 and took a job at Ground Zero in Marina Del Rey where she worked on ESPN, Virgin Digital, the State of California's anti-smoking campaign and a new vodka called Pinky After two years at Ground Zero, she moved on to TBWA\Chiat\Day Los Angeles where she works on Visa, Hillshire Farm "Go Meat!" and WaMu "Whoo hoo!" At this point in in a bio, people always talk about husbands and pets. Xanthe has niether. Too many things in the world need to be designed first!
